As we move through this time (November 22 - December 21), there's a simple, beautiful practice I want to invite you to practice. Every day, find one moment to give a blessing. One moment to send unconditional love to someone you come across—no agenda, no expectation, no exchange.
It could be the person who bags your groceries.
A friend who suddenly pops into your mind.
Someone you pass on a walk.
Or the barista who hands you your tea.
Because when you offer even a single blessing, something extraordinary happens...
Your heart becomes unencumbered.
Your own light expands.
And suddenly your life is illuminated by a thousand other lights.
Your blessing activates a remembrance—first within you, and then within whoever receives your presence. You become a mirror of the Divine. And hearts around you begin to glow with a light they didn't even realize they carried.
This is the deeper truth of why so many spiritual traditions celebrate light at this time of year. Yes, we hang lights in our homes, but what's really happening is that human hearts are awakening. They are remembering who they are.
So this month, let your heart be one of those first sparks.
Offer your blessing.
Give your light freely.
And watch how the world around you quietly begins to shine.
Yuletide Blessings.
